Advanced oxidation reaction is where oxidizer like ozone or peroxide of hydrogen is decomposed by the reaction with the UV, to produce OH-radical with strong oxidizing power to have oxidation dissolution in contamination substance, and is a water treatment techniques that can eliminate synthetic detergent, agricultural pesticides in a short period of time, that was not easily disassembled by conventional biological processing methods.

Interest and demand about advanced oxidation reacting technology is rising because non-degradable materials that is included in the environmental hormone, which has high toxicity and cancer-generating characteristic, are classified as specific quality of water toxic chemical substance and it is particularly managed with emission permitting density perspectively.

But because reaction efficiency is considerably low compared to other advanced oxidation reaction, and economically infeasible, commercialization is almost not undertaken.
